Installation of a state of the art, fully automated evaporation system at Anticline Disposal, Daniel, Wyoming, is a good example of how SMI has leveraged their experience in the snowmaking industry and applied it to the evaporation market:
Description of Project:
- Supply of 8 evaporators machines 4 - Super PoleCat Evaporators and 4 - SMI¨ 320 Evaporators) mounted on banks of 2 adjacent ponds separated by dike along with submersible pumps
- Installation of four weather stations (measuring wind direction, wind speed, dry and wet bulb temperatures) which communicate with central processor
- Supply of central processor programmed to control submersible pumps and motors on evaporators to modulate flow at each individual evaporator to control spray drift based on wind speed and direction
- 30 day (at 15 minute intervals) data collection system for wind speed and direction
- Remote computer operation of system from control building
